Her poems and essays have appeared in American Poetry Review, Tin House Magazine, Waxwing, Los Angeles Review, Bitch Magazine, VIDA, and elsewhere. Her most recent work is a book of translations, Island Heart: The Poems of Ida. Campbell McGrath chose her third collection, The Little Office of the Immaculate Conception, as the winner of the 2011 Saturnalia Books Poetry Prize. She has received awards and fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, MacDowell, the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, the Millay Colony, Split this Rock, and the Tennessee Arts Commission. Martha Silano has authored five poetry collections, most recently Gravity Assist (Saturnalia Books 2019).
